One Small Action at a Time

Nobody gets up one day and says, “Let me become a drug addict.”

Nobody decides one day, “Let me start eating junk food, and become obese and unhealthy.”

Nor does anyone decide to become a chronic procrastinator, Netflix binge-watcher, or a smartphone addict.

And yet, many of us end up in these dark places. How?

It is simply the power of compounding. Just as small positive actions compound, small negative actions also compound.

It always starts small. And then, one small action leads to another. Soon, it is a slippery slope.

Over time, our daily actions become our habits. And our habits become who we are.

So to break out of a rut or change the direction of your life, don’t wait for a big breakthrough moment.

The way out is the same as the way in — one small action at a time.
