We love to start new things every New Year because, in our mind, it gives us a fresh start.
Yet, isn’t every morning an equally good fresh start opportunity?
I find that no matter how good or disappointing the previous day was, when I wake up every morning, my mind is a clean state. Whatever happened yesterday, is erased — you can start again.
I am not a big believer in complicated rituals but morning is a great time to set the mood for the day. I have never done a morning run that does not do a hard reset for my mind. Morning meditation is just as rejuvenating — if you have the patience to inculcate that skill.
Start your day with a good workout and meditation, and with near certainty, you will be in a better mood, more focused, and more energized during the day.
Humans are often burdened by past mistakes, missteps, and missed opportunities.
But to let go of that burden, you don’t need some special occasion — you get that opportunity every morning.
Seize your morning forcefully. The rest of the day will automatically fall into place.
And don’t take my word for it — do it for a week and see for yourself. What one can experience, needs no proof.
