Purpose Destroys Procrastination

Even the most hardcore procrastinator forgets to procrastinate when a family member falls ill. They run around like crazy to provide the best possible care.

What destroys their procrastination? A sense of purpose — because they care about their family, they discover an energy and focus they never thought they had.

Purpose destroys procrastination.

And this applies across our life spectrum. We procrastinate about our goals because we truly don’t care about them or somewhere inside, we believe there is an easy way.

Destroy that thought — there is no easy way. And ask yourself — “Do I really care about this goal? Is my reason for starting this journey still valid?”

Find your ‘why’ — the purpose that drives you. When you have a burning purpose, you will cross mountains and rivers. But without one, you will look for someone to come and motivate you.

The source of all motivation is inside you. Outside, there are only excuses and rationalizations.
