This may be unpopular but let me say it.
If you have to climb a mountain, at some point, you need to start climbing.
Yes, you can watch all the videos on how to climb — ice climbing vs rock climbing, and this technique vs. that technique. You can seek motivation from stories of Alex Honnold or Nirmal Purja. You can find mentors and guides.
And all that will help. But at some point, when we are standing at the base of our mythical Everest, we need to start climbing.
At that point, anything else we do, be it watching another YouTube video or reading another inspirational book, is just procrastination.
Action is uncomfortable. But it has NO substitute.
Take a small step. Then repeat. That’s it — your journey has started.
