The Truth About Wealth: Why Side Hustles Rarely Work

I know quite a few wealthy and well-off people. But I don’t know even one person who got somewhat wealthy doing “side hustles, generating multiple income streams.”

Not one person!

And yet, on LinkedIn, you are made to believe that side hustles are the ticket to financial freedom.

All the wealthy people I know fall into one of two buckets:

1. Successful entrepreneurs.

2. People who got into well-paying jobs (e.g., investing, banking), who subsequently invested their savings wisely.

Theoretically, there is nothing wrong with side hustles. But if it were that easy, would we not know lots of folks like that? How many do you know?

Wealth is generally created the old-fashioned way — getting a decent education, finding a well-paying job, and then saving and investing well. It won’t make you a billionaire, but for most of us, that will be the ticket to financial freedom.

I know it is boring, but it works.

You don’t hear about it because genuinely wealthy people don’t like talking about their wealth.

And anyone who talks about their wealth is likely trying to tempt you and generate their wealth FROM you.
