How to Survive the Avalanche of Advice

I am afraid you will become a victim.

Not a victim of some scam, but of all the well-intentioned advice, frameworks, and exhortations you will find on LinkedIn, blogs, podcasts, and videos (some of it coming from me 😊).

The problem is not that the advice is all bad, but it is too much! Who will implement that advice? Poor you (or me)!

And how much time do we have? Very little. And our attention is even more scarce (the leftover after long hours of work and a million distractions).

Here is something you don’t hear often enough: Ignore most advice, including good ones.

Just pick one or two things that you want to do. But once you pick something, better be fanatical about it — or don’t pick it.

Alas, today there is too much advice and too little action.

Treat good advice like clean, delicious water. 3-4 liters a day will refresh you. 10,000 liters will drown you.
