Real Secret to Success: Keep Restarting

One year back, I received an email from a young lady who was torturing herself for not qualifying the NEET exam. And I receive loads of emails like this.

Why do we needlessly torture ourselves for our past failures?

Because we don’t realize this one secret to achieving any goal: “How many times are you willing to restart?”

We think we failed because we failed once — nope. We failed because we did not restart. And this applies to everything.

You did not succeed in NEET or JEE? What’s the big deal? Pick another goal and restart.

Trying to build the gym habit but missed three days in a row? Restart on day 4.

Your startup idea did not work? Find another idea and restart. Not ready even for that? No problem — take up a job, and when ready, restart.

I can go on and on but I rest my case.

You don’t have to be so brilliant as to ace everything in the first attempt — you just need to be adamant enough to keep restarting.

I know a few people who had a linear path to massive success. More likely, they kept restarting.

This is their secret — which is hardly a secret.
